A magnitude-3.4 earthquake was recorded Thursday night southeast of Mauna Loa’s summit, the U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said.

A magnitude-3.4 earthquake was recorded Thursday night southeast of Mauna Loa’s summit, the U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory said.

The earthquake was recorded at 9:16 p.m. about 11.6 miles southeast of Mauna Loa’s summit and 11.1 miles west of the Kilauea summit. It had a depth of 4.5 miles.

No advisory was issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center following the temblor.
